There has never been a more polarizing, nor controversial figure in baseball than Barry Bonds. He was a lock for the Hall of Fame before his steroids controversy. With MLB’s official stance that Bonds’ records are “legitimate” his numbers leave a staggering story of dominance, and opportunity. In time, Bonds, and others from the 1990s steroid era should gain acceptance to Cooperstown. At that moment, Bonds cards should take a substantial boost in value. So is now the time to roll the dice, buy and hold, and look to a future for a big dividend? It’s something to consider, most certainly.
