For a generation, B-18 Blankets were often used for blankets and quilts, making little boys dream of playing big league ball when they grew up. This particular lot of 4 blankets was probably pulled from a trash or seconds bin just before the driver left for the City Dump. Each of the blankets shows a type of inking error, be it from too much ink, too little drying time resulting in ink transferring from blanket-to-blanket while the felt substrate was still wet with ink. Considered error or second by the printer, these relics were slated for “withdrawl from Civilization” and were commonly burned/ The fact these wonderful exmples survived makes them all the more rare and all the more valuable. Bid now – the chances of finding error blankets in this condition are incredibly rare.
